The presentation of the new collection of the spring-summer 2019 brand season Subterranei in in New York was held in the art space The storefront for Art & Architecture ]. "At War" – with yourself, with reality – it is rather not a political slogan, but a description of the internal state of each of us, the daily need for expressing protest and resistance .
Similarly, the central slogan, "STAY PROTECTED" reminds us of the need for daily self-defense and calls on always to be "protected" (additional connotation with HIV and gay rights). According to the style, the spring-summer collection Subterranei in 2019 demonstrated strict, clean, angular silhouettes with a "fighting" character.
The dominant palette of black shades in the collection is diluted in burgundy and white-cream colors. Main stand out piece – white cotton suit, consisting of a mini skirt and a slightly fitted jacket, hand-painted by a designer from aerosol cans and simulating street graffiti.
The next favorite is a silk claret satin shirt, a free silhouette with contrast stitching and triangular cutouts on sleeves, and branded buttons. Just pay attention to an elegant black cotton suit from a fitted jacket and a pencil skirt with relief patches of red threads.
To support the young designer Alena Tsyganova came not only only mother and hostess of the show-room "Li-Lu" Oksana Bondarenko ] but also Heron Preston, Maria Fedorova, Marina Lynchuk, Shariz Gutierez, Anya Zyurova, Inga Rubinstein and numerous friends and guests of the party. They really appreciated the new collection.
The designer herself Alina Tsyganova confessed: "To create the collection, I was inspired by images of abandoned urban and industrial landscapes, echoes of street art, graffiti and a romantic view of cold concrete structures. The central theme of the collection was the "voice of the streets" and the desire to talk about the daily struggle of man with himself, as well as with the outside world. "
