The other day the 18th Open Art Festival "Cherry Forest" presented on the Small Stage of the Theater of Nations the play "Kashtanka" Pskov Drama Theater staged Julia Peresild . The story of Anton Chekhov in the stage interpretation of the young actors of the theater sounded modern, and the Moscow audience got acquainted with the perspective Russian theater under the guidance of Dmitry Meskhiev and the new director.
The play "Kashtanka" Yulia Peresild Pskov Drama Theater almost literally follows the text of the literary basis, on the stage appear all the characters of the Chekhov story – Gus Ivan Ivanych, Havronya, but the director's move is humanizing and bringing history as close as possible to today's day.
The producers of the play, designated the genre of the play "rock-history without intermission". In the center of attention is a simple girl Kashtanka (performed by actresses Ksenia Tishkova and Anna Shuvaeva ) the story of her "life in art" and the lively drive of street life, to which the framework of show business is tight, even with a good dinner, to which the so-called star of the scene will return. All the songs and musical fragments were written, the actors played and sang.
Julia Peresild as director directed under the auspices of the Moscow Theater of Nations a children's charity project "Stikhovarenie" which was transformed into "Cherry Stihot Varenie "presented at the festival " Cherry Forest " in 2017. At the same time Peresild became a laureate of the Oleg Yankovsky Prize in the nomination "Creative discovery" .
The festival and Julia Peresild link long-standing friendship and cooperation. "Kashtanka" – the first performance of Julia the Moscow premiere of which was held in the framework of the festival.
At the premiere "Kashtaki" came: Marina Alexandrova, Polina Deripaska, Natalia Timakova, Roman Abramovich, Alexey Uchitel, Yulia Hlynina, Andrei Burkovsky, Arina Sharapova, Vadim Vernik, Anastasia Golub, Eteri Leviev, Larissa Rubalsky.
